With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Etta D. Rowell (Louisville, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Rowell; her grandson Andwele L. French; her parents, Annetta Duncan and Pervis Duncan; and her siblings, Rebecca Duncan, Starks Green, Virginia Duncan Ray, Thomas Duncan and Perva Duncan Hudson.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra W. French; her grandchildren, Asha L. French, Ahmed L. French (LaToya), Akeem L. French and Audra N. French; her daughter-in-law NyShea Betts; and her daughters, Vicki Dickerson and Donna Townsend Jeffries. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home - Downtown (1300 W Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
