It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Ruth Halbert of Louisville, Kentucky, born in Newton, Kansas, who passed away on March 3, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Thomi and Alvina Thomi (Nightengale); her stepfather Virgil Rhea; and her siblings, Venda Kay Rhea and Curtis Rhea.
She is survived by: her husband Darrell Halbert (Dick); her children, Craig Stephens (Kathy) and Sandy Abell (David); her stepchildren, Tondra Fry (Bob), Jacquelyn Cutrear (Blake) and Richard Todd Halbert; her brother Charles Rhea; and her sister-in-law Dena Rhea. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
