With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Garry Bernard (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Garry Bernard to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bernard and Caroline Bernard of Columbus Ohio; his brother-in-law Fred Whalen; his nephew Steven Whalen; and also Greg Felix.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Bernard (Betty); his daughters, Leslie Bennett (Steve) of Bluffton, SC and Lynn Alling (John) of Newburgh Indiana; his grandchildren, Isaac Alling (Alicia), Lindsay Horst (Tim) and Aaron Alling (Abby); his great grandchildren, Theo Alling, Finley Alling, Grayson Horst and Wesley Horst; his sister Nancy Whalen of Columbus Ohio; and his sibling's children, Pam Felix and Ken Whalen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Southeast Christian Church (1407 Moser Rd, Louisville, KY 40299). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Floydsburg Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Rd, Crestwood, KY 40014).
