He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda; his parents, James Rissler and Wanda Rissler; and his sister Nina Ayers. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Rissler (Laura) and Andrea Bartley (Darryl); his grandchildren, Kendall Rissler (Kody), Jaxon Rissler, Katelyn Bartley (Jacob) and Amber Vibbert (Bryson); and his great grandchildren, Lily Vibbert and Ellie McAllister.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ratterman Southwest Funeral Home (4832 Cane Run Rd, Louisville, KY 40216). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Ratterman Southwest (4832 Cane Run Rd, Louisville, KY 40216). A burial was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at the same location.
