He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Burns and Louise Burns; his wife Doris Burns; his daughter Jenny Schueman; and his siblings, Darlene Kushner and Jack Burns.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Burns (Jennifer) and Donnie Burns (Dawn); his grandchildren, Bruce, Amanda, Melissa, Dean, Mary, Danielle and Kevin; and his sister Susie Ragle. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Athanasius Catholic Church (5915 Outer Loop, Louisville, KY 40219). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at the Resthaven Memorial Park (4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218).
