James Carroll Ensor Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2025, at the age of 74, James Carroll Ensor of Louisville, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kendall Ensor and Ethel Catherine Ensor (Burns); his siblings, Walter "Bud" Ensor and Dora Ann Marquess; and his half-sister Edna Baete.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Ensor; and his children, Duane Ensor (Beth), Barry Ensor (Leanne) and Amy Drake (Jonathan). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews and other dear family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at the Brookland Cemetery.
