He is survived by: his wife Walda Sweeney Highfield; his daughters, Holli Highfield Lewis (Eric) and Hilary Anne Highfield; and his grandchildren, Lilli Hampton Lewis, Lucy Highfield Lewis, Eliza Etoile Lewis, Katherine Anne Nickols, John Highfield Nickols and James Matthew Nickols.
