He was predeceased by: his former wife Eloda Hunt Baxter; his parents, Presley Roland and Minnie Bell Glass Baxter; his siblings, Usher Baxter, Edna Bullington, Nell Thompson and Roy Baxter; and his grandsons, Joshua Oaks and Jacob Legge.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Hunt Baxter; his daughters, Rita Legge (James) and Brenda Schramm (Mike); and his granddaughters, Amy Cardwell (Mike), Jennifer Morgan (Nathan) and Bethany Fentress (Justin). He is also survived by his 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel (927 W G L Smith St, Morgantown, KY 42261). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
