He was predeceased by: his parents, Arbra Smith and Alice Turner Smith; and his siblings, Swonnie, Jessie, Darrell Smith, Pat Smith, Rose Smith and Sue Gambrell.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Smith (Amanda) of Louisville and Tara Yearns (Bruno) of Mt. Washington; his grandchildren, McKenna Kaelin (Dillon) of New Salsbury, IN, Cole Smith (Hannah Schank) of Louisville, Kaden and Kynlee Yearns of Mt. Washington; his great grandchild Crew Kaelin; his siblings, Ronnie Smith of Mt. Vernon, Sandra Cromer (Mike) of Conway, Ola Smith of Brodhead and Joann Jones of Mt. Vernon; and his close friend John Gardner.
