The memory of John Arthur Lawson of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Estelle Bright Lawson Summers and John A. Lawson, Sr.; his sister Roseann Lawson; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Randall and Evie Michele.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandy Ruzanka (Danny), Lawren Just Garmon (Doug), Patti Mitchum (Rickey), Michele Mingus (Randy), Lisa Bush (Lee) and Julie Covert (Jay); and his close friend Ollie Brown. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).
