With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Paul Manning of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 27, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John Paul leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John Paul may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivo Manning and Anna E. Lewis Manning; and his brother Joseph Manning. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wode Manning; his children, Nicholas Manning and Amanda Manning; and his grandsons, Zachary Manning (Rhianna) and Sylvester Manning (Jenna).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trowbridge Funeral Home - Elizabethtown (234 W Dixie Ave, Elizabethtown, KY 42701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the St. Theresa Cemetery.
