She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Heggie and Nell Davidson; her husband William "Tom" Mills; her son-in-law Danny Smith; and her siblings, Lattie Smith, June Coons, Patsy Brotzge, Wanda Gay Heggie, Laverne Crouch and W. L. Heggie.
She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Barnes, Yvonne "Hope" Smith (Danny) and Ricky Mills, Sr. (Cheryl); her brother Niles Heggie (Rita); and her grandchildren, Christy Applegate (Chad), Charity Brown (Quinton), Ricky Mills, Jr., Brian Mills (Genevieve) and Taricka Mills (Tyler). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Funeral Home (4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
