He is survived by: his wife Janice Balz (Allen); his sons, Michael (Denise), Steven (Brenda) and Kevin Balz (Amy); his grandchildren, Mike (Nicki), Josh, Nic, Joe, Jacob, Jordan Balz, Krissy Daniel (Brian) and Jazmine Keith (Ish); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Cooper Balz, Radley, Kensley Daniel, Eli and Caliee Keith; and his sisters, Bonnie Downs (Gil) and Jeanie Mason (Bill).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Homes - Dixie Highway (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the Louisville Memorial Gardens West (4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216).
