He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy and Maybelle; his stepfather George Richardson; his brother Eugene Thomas; and his sibling's children, Devonda Thomas, Michael Jr. and Nicolas Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Kennetha and Kenneth; his grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony and Kaniece; his great grandchildren, Alivia and Alani; and his siblings, Michael Thomas (Rosalind), Sally Starr (Louis), Melvin Woods (Marion), Adrienne Stitch, Donald, Vincent Woods (Sondra), Maurice Woods and Shan Woods.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Samuel Baptist Church (619 S 16th St, Louisville, KY 40203). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
