He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Matherly and Elizabeth Matherly; and his sister Edith Carrier. He is survived by: his wife Linda Matherly; his children, Jeff Matherly, Sherry Matherly and Kathy Banta (Jerry); his grandchildren, Calin Matherly, Katrina Matherly and Jordan Matherly; his sisters, Judy Keeling and Bonnie Heady; his close friend Richard Rayburn; and his grandson Shawn Dickerson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home (111 N Bardstown Rd, Mt Washington, KY 40047). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the Kings Church Cemetery.
