He was predeceased by: his parents, James Perkins and Christine Perkins; and his siblings, Mary Lou, Delores, Wilma, Peggy, Wanda, Junie, Calvin, Drew and Jerry.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Perkins; his children, Nickie Wright (Sam) and Ross Perkins (Kathleen Lyons); his grandchildren, Amanda McMillen (Brian), Jonathan Wright and Miles Wright; his great grandchild Daniel McMillen; and his sister Dorothy Carthrae.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home (3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205). A masonic service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213).
