He is survived by: his wife Carolyne Penick; his children, Renee Penick and Michael Leon Penick; his granddaughters, Destiny Renee Penick and Maelena Kay Penick; his great grandchildren, Ezra Allen Penick and Amari Noel Helm; his godchildren, Delilah Simmons, Triasha Osburn, Timothy Lindsey, Gabriel Nelson and Kaiden English; and his daughters, Jennifer Tibby, Ronitra Elliott, Kamrin Cambric, Pleshette DePriest and Taniya Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burnett Avenue Baptist Church (6800 S Hurstbourne Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40291). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
