The memory of Mary (Southeast) E. Whidby (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on July 27, 2025 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mary leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She is survived by: her children, Maggie Benton (Gilbert Cousins), Demetrius Grady, Shawn Grady (Sonja Porter), Doris Davies and Valonne White (James Jr.); her brother Ronald Grady; and her godson Jailen Leavell. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St Stephen Church (1018 S 15th St, Louisville, KY 40210). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
