He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph James and Louise James (Howard); his sister Toni James; and his brother-in-law Finn Ryssdal. He is survived by: his wife Elise Barbour; his children, Aaron James (Ashley Grant) and Lauren Kuring (Cassandra); his stepson Aaron Barbour; his grandson Victor Kuring; his sister Anne Ryssdal; and his siblings-in-law, Dana Schlich (Rudy) and Bruce Barbour (Beth).
