She was predeceased by: her parents, Loran Whaley and Juanita Ryan (Holstead); her son Sammy "Doug" Powers; and her brother Donald Ryan. She is survived by: her husband Sammy Powers; her daughter Amy Preher (William); her grandchildren, Cortney Derringer (Chad), Austin Weatherford (Autumn), Alexandria Miller (Matthew) and Audrey Powers; her great grandchildren, Braylon, Hayden and Sammy; and her siblings, Connie Poliskie, Lisa Ryan and Kenny Ryan (Glenna). She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and other dear family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 6:00 PM.
