He was predeceased by: his parents, James Matthews and Georgia Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Betty Matthews; his children, Paul A. Matthews, Jr. and Tammy Ann Baker; and his siblings, Jimmy Matthews and Midge Scrogham (Ricky).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Resthaven Cemetery.
