We announce the death of Richard Wayne Bache (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 82. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gaulbert Bache and Henrietta Chenault Chandler Bache; and his sister Ettie Jane Crone. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Kress Bache; his children, Rebecca Bache Rouch (Eric), Daniel Wayne Bache (Lisa), Abigail Joy Lambert (Jonathan) and Anna Grace Rouch; his grandchildren, Julia Bache Jacobs (Nathan), Catherine Bache Smith (Isaiah), Laura Westray Bache and William Franklin Bache; his sister-in-law Christia Kress Shaver (Scott); his niece Brittney Shaver Moore (Kyle); his great-niece Georgiana Moore; his nephew Joshua Shaver (Olivia); his great-niece Juniper Shaver; and his nephews, Steve Walker (Cheryl) and Todd Walker (Kaye).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ratterman Brothers East Louisville Funeral Home (12900 Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40243). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
