He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kidwell and Ineta Kidwell. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Lance Kidwell, Melanie Kidwell and Holly Ringo (Chad); and his grandchildren, Annie, Gavin, Peyton, Sophia and Wyatt.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Northeast Christian Church (9900 Brownsboro Rd, Louisville, KY 40241). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Floydsburg Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Rd, Crestwood, KY 40014).
