He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ayers Thompson; his son Christopher Dale Thompson; his grandson Kyle Hampton; his siblings, Robert Thompson (Shirley), Herman Thompson (Beatrice), Jerry Thompson (Francine) and Josephine Crawford; and his sister-in-law Ingrid Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ormsby Heights Baptist Church (2120 Lower Hunters Trace, Louisville, KY 40216). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
