In the sacred silence of farewell, Sandra is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Sandra's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Mattox and Jessie Mattox; her son Frederick Thomas, Jr.; the father of her child Frederick Thomas, Sr.; and her brother Joseph Mattox.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Bria Thomas; her great grandchild Makai Thomas; and her siblings, Linda Mattox, Karen Mattox, Bridgette Bennett (Victor), Stephanie Anderson (Ricky) and Robin Mattox. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Moore Temple Church of God in Christ (2315 W Broadway, Louisville, KY 40211). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
