He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Young and Diane Young; and his sisters, Andrea Young Trahan and Belinda Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Karen Black; his children, Shaun Young, Daniella Young and Alexandrea Hutchinson; his grandchildren, Joshua Turner, Aliyah Turner and Haley Young; and his brother Philip "Shorty" Thomas.

Any donations can be made to the family to help with final expenses.
