He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Propes and Elizabeth Propes; his grandchildren, Nicholas Diale and Skylar Hibbard; and his siblings, Mark Propes, Leslie Propes, Coy Popes Jr. and Carol Helm.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Propes; his daughters, Sharon Propes (Scott), Angela Banks (Rob) and Crystal West (Varonica); his siblings, Bill Propes, Sheena Embry (Larry) and Martha Schickel (Scotty); and his grandchildren, Anthony Diale, Chad Banks, Tyler Smith and Haylee Campbell. He is also survived by extended family, friends, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ratterman Southwest Funeral Home (4832 Cane Run Rd, Louisville, KY 40216).
