He is survived by: his wife Gloria Burk; his children, Cathy Madison (Jimmy), Chris Burk (Pam), Tony Burk (Dionne) and Beth Sample (Rhett); his grandchildren, Destiny, Christopher, Andrew, Tyler, Austin, Sean, Lexi, Finley and Quinn; his great grandchildren, Conner, Leya, Carmen, Cole and Billie Anne; and his siblings, Joseph Burk (Vicki), Mary Ruth Staples (Mark), Sharon Creech (David), Karen Hockersmith (Buddy) and Susan Edgell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
