He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Sharp; his parents, Walter Lee, Sr. and Odie Edwardson Sharp; and his siblings, Lorean Sharp Combs, Saint Francis Sharp and James Sharp.
He is survived by: his sons, James Maddox (Kendra Letcher), Anthony Maddox (Joyce), Timothy Maddox Sharp (Tina Woods) and Walter L. Sharp, Jr. (Shannon). He is also survived by 22 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Burnett Avenue Baptist Church (6800 S Hurstbourne Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40291). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
