He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry Gast and Georgia Oliver Gast; his siblings, Bill Gast (Joyce), Joe Gast, Dorothy Gast Myers (Norman), Mike Gast, Sharon Gast Taylor and Georgia Hayes Mattingly (Steve); James Thomas Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Peace Gast; his daughter Meredith Gast Hollomon (Jay); his grandchildren, Grant Moore Hollomon and Lindsey Caroline Hollomon; and his in-laws, Joyce Gast (Joe) and Johnny Taylor (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
