William Venberg Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Venberg of Louisville, Kentucky, born in New Britain, Connecticut, who passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Venberg to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Venberg (Shilosky); and his brother Raymond Venberg. He is survived by: his son Richard Venberg (Lynn Baete); his granddaughter Marie Adele Venberg of Minneapolis, MN; his daughter Lorraine Venberg (Tom Cunningham) of Louisville, KY; his sister-in-law Susan Venberg of New Britain; his nieces, Lori Roop (Jon), Pam Anderson (Bryan) and Sharon Poinelli; his sister-in-law Nancy Madden; and his sibling's children, Allen, Danny, Tim Madden and Mary Rinaldi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Home (45 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT 06051). A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (120 Smalley St, New Britain, CT 06051).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, 13725 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40245 or Camp Schade (formerly Fresh Air Camp) where Bill worked many summers with his bff Cy Cosgrove.
