It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wilmer Donald Vanhook of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Dewey Vanhook and Nora Johnson Vanhook; his wife Georgia May Hicks Vanhook; his siblings, Keith Vanhook, Charles Vanhook and Jewel Vanhook Sergeant; and his great grandchild Austin.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Vanhook (Phyllis) and Lynda Vanhook Schrader (Ken); his sister Joyce Vanhook Hibbard; his grandchildren, Heather, Stephanie, Jennifer and Ian; and his great grandchildren, Jane, Dylan and Phoenix. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the United Way of Laurel County to help with the work of rebuilding his beloved hometown following the devastating tornadoes in May.
