He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Kennedy Blackburn and J. W. Blackburn; his brother Roger; and his in-laws, Albert and Gladys Laws.
He is survived by: his significant other Sharon Laws; his former wife Sharon Blackburn; his sons, Robby Blackburn (Edna) of Loyall and Adam Blackburn of Loyall; his grandchildren, Seth Blackburn (Ruthie), Emily Kelly (Caleb), Abigail and Noah Blackburn; his great grandchild Casper Joseph Blackburn; his sister Renee Davis (Berie); his brother-in-law Jim Laws; and his close friends, Jack and Pat Anderson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harlan Funeral Home (202 S Cumberland Ave, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Bob would have wanted memorial contributions be made to the Cumberland Hope Community, 6050 Hwy 38, Evarts, KY 40828.
