With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry W. Owens of Loyall, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Laymon Owens and Helen Bennett Owens; his wife Ina Lynn Owens; and his siblings, Jimmy, Tom Owens and Norma Cornett.
He is survived by: his children, Nicole Hoskins (Paul), Danny Ausmus (Tammie), Billy Ream (Jessie) and Christopher Ream (Sheri); his grandchildren, Kelly Beth Hoskins, Zac Collett, Joseph Saylor, Shelbi Ausmus, Danny Ausmus, Amber Ward Ream, Christopher Ream, Jr., Nicholas, Nikyle, Nithaniel and Naden Ream; his great grandchildren, Eli Ausmus, Connor Ausmus, Ambrose, Greyson, Ian, Issac, Ava, Aubree, Weston and Wyatt; and his siblings, Ronnie Owens and Mary Howard (Garnett). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home (114 S 3rd St, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the Resthaven Cemetery (3000 State Hwy 840, Baxter, KY 40806).
