He is survived by: his wife Alice Hurt Gilliam; and his children, Donna Cress (Clayton), Vicky Huskey (Paul) and Richard Jr. Gilliam (Heidi). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, a host of other family, friends.
