It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Lee Smith Jr. of Maceo, Kentucky, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Lee and Dorothy Smeathers Smith; his sister Linda Reynolds; his stepdaughter Tammy McElwain; and his nephew Sean McElwain.

He is survived by : his wife Shelia Sparks Smith; his children, Kim Smith Booker (Bobby Hamilton) and Lee Smith (Bonnie Clayton); his stepson Bill "Stormy" McElwain (Karen); and his brothers, David Smith (Mona) and Jimmy Smith (Debbie). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gibson & Son Funeral Home (315 Caroline St, Lewisport, KY 42351).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Daviess County Animal Shelter.
