He is survived by: his children, Barbara Elder (Jimmie), Brenda Suzette Mires (Terry), Danny Spurlin and Wesley Spurlin (Cheryl); and his siblings, Linda Sullivan, Mary Isabelle Spurlin, Brenda Dixon, James Spurlin and Jimmy Spurlin. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
