He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Douglas Mitchell and Gracie Mae Middleton; and his siblings, Sadie Johnson (Neal), Lucille Morrison (Luther), Dorothy Collins (Alfred), Irene Grundy (Lee) and Roy Mitchell (Bettie).
He is survived by: his sister Bertha Ann Mitchell of Madisonville, KY; his brothers-in-law, Kevin Johnson of Madisonville, KY, Gary Johnson and Gerald Johnson of New Haven, CT.; his wife Sherrie Lynn Johnson; and his children, Tammy Scisney (Bryan) of Newburgh, IN, Curtis Nathaniel Mitchell Jr. of Hopkinsville, KY and Antonio Jamaal Mitchell of Madisonville, KY. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
