He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Brooks (Sisk) and Eugene Brooks; his grandparents, Flora, John Sisk, Lola (Renshaw) and Virgil Brooks; his stepgrandmother Ida Mae; and his brother-in-law Paul.
He is survived by: his cousin Bobby Smith; his wife Merry; his son Grant of Evansville, IN; and his siblings, Marsha Jones (Roger) of Graham, N. C. and Marshall Brooks (Vicki) of Santa Rosa, FL. He is also survived by nieces, nephew, cousins.
