He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Hanke and Margaret Richter Hanke; and his wife Carol Burcher Hanke. He is survived by: his children, Tabitha Arwine (David) of Madisonville, George Hanke Jr. of Gardnerville, NV and Richard Todd Hanke of Syracuse, NY; and his siblings, Margo, Freddie, Julie and Alois. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
