He is survived by: his wife Tina Turner Todd of Madisonville; his children, Laura Todd of Madisonville, Jacob Todd of Madisonville, Michael Todd of Madisonville and James Todd, Jr. (Darrien Patterson) of Nortonville, KY; his siblings, Rev. Bobby Todd (Dana) of Madisonville, Darwin "Snoopy" Todd (Missy) of Corydon, KY, Ricky Allen Terry (Diane) of Madisonville and Linda Sue Todd of Madisonville; and his grandchildren, Rubi Jean, Ka'Leah, Kaylee, Kans'Leah, Jayce, Jayden, Elaine Jeannette, Khaliq, Kevin Jr. and Khali'Ona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
