She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Vaughan Sr. and Mamie Jane Vandiver Vaughan; her former husband James Sory Barron; her husband Eugene Mitchell; her sons, James Michael Barron and Stephen Lee Barron; her brother Virgil Vaughan Jr.; and her stepchildren, Phyllis Stone, Linda Reeves and Louis Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Terry J (Tammy Barron) and LaLena Utley of Nebo, KY; her stepdaughter Sharon Spriggs of Madisonville; and her siblings, Lonnie Vaughan of Dawson Springs, KY and Janie Vaughan of South Carolina. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
