He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Cullop Root of Madisonville; his son Tom Root of Smyrna, TN; and his siblings, John Root (Cathy), Jim Root, Diane Johnson (Kenny) and Betty Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
