He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Elizabeth Fowler Pressley and John Alexander; his daughter Janice Darlene Chandler Franklin; his great grandchild Carleigh Gamblin; his siblings, Marcella Gray, Elizabeth Phillips, Lorene Stewart and Edmond Alexander; and his half-brother Arnold Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rhodes Alexander; his son Clifton Alexander of Madisonville; his grandchildren, Emerald Striplin (Richard), Bradlee Gamblin (Kaylee) and Mitchell Gamblin; his great grandchildren, Melody Striplin, Audrey Striplin and Cedric Gamblin; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Rhodes (Carolyn) and Elaine Josleyn (Rolley). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
