He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Thurston, Sr. and Naomi Thurston; his wife Dottie Thurston; his stepfather Dexter Williams; and his sister June Conyers.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Gratzke, Vanessa Thurston, Kenny Long (Nancy), Rick Long (Lydia) and Kim Long; his grandchildren, Kim Babich (Joe) and Don Gratzke; his children, Amber Long, Brad Long (Laura), Kyle Long (Kara) and Kacey Long; his great grandchild Cora Babich; his grandchildren, Tenlee Long, Grayson Long and Henry Long; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Thomas and Roger Hunter (Sandy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
