She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Radford Owens and Lawrence Owens Sr.; her daughter Lucretia Arnett; and her siblings, Cora Lee Owens, James Owens, Lawrence "Larry" Owens Jr. and William Owens.

She is survived by: her children, Monica Renee Johnson Brody and Darryl Owens (Donna); and her grandchildren, L'Mer Owens, Jaron Owens, Cameron Johnson (Rachelle), Camille Johnson, L'Dawn Arnett and Earl Brody (Caitlin). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
