Melvin Atkins Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Atkins of Madisonville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Roy Atkins and Zelma Pearl Bittick Atkins; his son Jerry Lee Williams; his siblings, Danny Gail Lear, Annabelle Atkins, Nancy Ann Leer Dulin and Victoria Corrine Atkins Campbell; and his grandson Branddon Keith Atkins.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Gibson Atkins; his children, Regina Williams Stone, Melvin Keith Atkins (Robin), Sammy Allen Atkins (Trena), Derrick Wayne Atkins and Jason Williams; and his siblings, Carol Francette Avis (Leer), Debi Joann Mower and Arthur Leroy Atkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, several grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
