He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman L. Cansler (Cansler) and Ruth Haley Cansler; and his brothers-in-law, Billy Joe Armstrong and Bill Kemp. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Crabtree Cansler; his sister Cindy Armstrong Kemp of Owensboro; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Ashcraft and Floyd Ashcraft of Kevil, KY; and his sibling's children, Jennifer Hamilton (Jason) and Stephen Armstrong (Melissa). He is also survived by three great nieces; two great nephews.
