Sara Eison Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Sara Eison of Madisonville, Kentucky. Sara, born on October 17, 1932, passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Franklin Crayne and Myrtle Brown Crayne; her husband Walter Earl "Monk" Eison; and her son Anthony Crayne Eison. She is survived by: her children, Lori Evelyn Howard (Dennis) of Lexington, KY and Barnett Clayton "Clay" Eison of Madisonville; her grandchildren, Lauren Eison Leiendecker (JP), Sara Alice Eison (Tyler Logsdon), Dennis "Tate" Gordon Howard III, Evelyn Crayne Howard and Sara Marie Howard; and her great grandchildren, Huxley Eison Leiendecker and Rune Marigold Leiendecker.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Madisonville Chapel (2285 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
