It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherrell Joseph Calhoun of Madisonville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 28, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Calhoun and Pauline Payne Calhoun; and his siblings, Rev. Gerald "Jerry" Calhoun, James Henry Calhoun, Julian Calhoun, Juanita Riney, Lucy Strehl and Martha Warren.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Jean "Jeannie" Calhoun; his children, Cheryl Lutz (Alan) of Madisonville, Jerry Calhoun (Kathy) of Leesburg, VA, John Calhoun (Janice) of Hanson, KY, David Calhoun of Odenton, MD and Michael Calhoun (Katie) of Madisonville; and his grandchildren, Linday Davis (Chris), Cara Calhoun, Elizabeth, George, Richard, Tim Calhoun, Jacob, Sarah Lutz, Nick and Hope Calhoun.
